I got an older model but never-used full size cuisinart (the ones that sell for $150 or so) with all the attachments for $12.

I'm still looking for a stand mixer.

1. We are in a major garage sale slump. Wish people would....

get back to watching HGTV and impulsively decide to get rid of their "crap" (my treasures!!!!!)

2. I don't go to them. I'm too lazy to get up that early.

My friend goes and gets remarkable finds and passes some on to me.

But, when I have a housefull of teenagers making burgers at 2AM, it's hard to get enough sleep to get up at 7 and go yard saling.

3. I got 400 old vinyl lps last week for $1 at an auction.

There were only 8 that I actually grabbed to listen to, but if I get anything for the other 392 then it's a major windfall.

Some of em are very old 78s by the 'Victor Talking Machine Company' and are opera or classical music. Anybody know anything about these?

The top individual record is probably a Harry Belefante 45. It is called 'Calypso' and features 'Day O' and 3 other songs.

5. You laugh, but about 15 years ago I got a 1965 Fender Precision for $35.

6. I'm out every Saturday.

Today was slow. Holiday weekends are like that. Also, I'm so far away from LA anymore there are few good sales.

8. Went down a lot of pretty country roads & didn't buy much.

Found a rice cooker with steamer for $1.00. I don't think they knew what it was. Also a 50's vase in olive with a leaf, a strange little plant stand (I put a speaker on it) & a little gold pin. Hmm, maybe I didn't do so badly after all.
