Tell me that plenty of idiots write grant proposals...
Edited on Thu Aug-30-07 07:59 PM by LaraMN
because I think I just pretty much agreed to produce one for some person I've never even met.

:scared:

I've only ever written ONE, and it was for a class. What did I get myself into?

:banghead:

3. Good. I don't want my writing to read terribly,
as compared to what the recipients are accustomed to encountering.

4. I'm REALLY glad I saved my books from the class I wrote
the last proposal for! My professor claimed it was great, but I've nothing to compare it to, and I'm more self-conscious about my formal writing skills than I am about being buck-ass nekkid!

10. You're painfully shy, pensive
and you have poor bladder control. We KNOW!

And yet, people like you.

9. Is that a real-life class or an online class?
I am thinking of a part-time career for when I retire and am looking for a "next career" to supplement the Social Security. Something that I can do maybe at home or at least not an hour's drive each way through vicious city traffic to get to.

My background is journalism, I have a degree from Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism, spent time working for the Chicago Tribune and have been in public relations for more than 30 years. So if Oedi is correct, this might be right for me because I sure as hell have the background. I've spent the last 11 years as the chief copywriter for the 5th largest corporate real estate developer in the country, at least according to National Real Estate Investor magazine.

Please tell me more.... Though I am two hours earlier than you and will be going to bed before too long to start the stressful process all over again tomorrow. I am really interested. Thanks.

Oh, and to Lara...best of luck.

12. Thanks so much....
I am miles and miles away from Harvard.

And my employer would never pay for my future career.
