Top Chef Season #2 finale - I think they screwed Marcel over on that one

I watched it again last night and basically it was Ilian doing the same spanish cooking that he did for every other challenge and Marcel, who put himself out there with trying new things even if they failed (like that ice cube gizmo).

Marcel was an ass but I'd rather he cook for me than Ilian

if Marcel wasn't an asshole (which I loved him for being), I think he'd have been the hands down choice

I posted on Tom Calicchio's (?) blog last season. I said the judges cooed over Marcels food but yet give it to Ilan? Bad Choice. Marcel is very immature though, that may have come into play.

5. When they had the Season #1 vs. Season #2 - Ilan totally sucked in that one

Marcel lost to Stephen but it seemed that the both were pretty close in quality. I think I could have 'Shake & Baked' better than what Ilan came out with

I thought Marcel was better than Ilan and Elia in the Final Four challenge, but Sam was equally good.

I would have enjoyed Sam v. Marcel far better than Ilan v. anyone.

The first season was amazing. The second season decent, until the final judging sessions. This season is just awful, there's about 4 real chefs. Also, what's with the schedule, is it not possible for them to show a new episode in consecutive weeks?

Upon viewing the season-ender again last nite, I totally felt like Marcel was not given the proper credit. He is an arrogant little prick, but like yourself, I would gladly eat at his table. I would have much preferred Sam to have been in the final two - I think he's the one who really was robbed.
