Describe the worst right wing bumper sticker you've seen...
I saw one bumper sticker which read as follows...

I think, therefore I am... voting for W!

It was in the parking lot of Memorial Hospital, Owosso Michigan, on a car that had MD plates.

Next to it was a car with a sticker that said something like "I home school, and my children respect the government."

110. Actually, if this were a logical transaction it would read like this:
The intersection set of Republicans with Pickup owners is 100% of Republicans but not 100% of Pickup owners.

Neither is of course correct.

Personally, I would just assume that if you post here AND drive a pickup you probably have a good reason for doing so related to transport, cargo, etc.

Relax. Deep breaths.

that to see a right-wing slogan on the back of a pick up truck is to be expected . . as we all know how those pick-up truck owners lean politically . . . hence the added "of course" . . .

I figure the people who are smart enough to get that I'm making fun of the other one are the same kind of people who are smart enough to realize that we don't live in a theocracy, and here in America we're supposed to have equal rights.
Unfortunately, I just noticed that I forgot the plus sign... huh. I'll have to fix that when I get home. :)

Same color scheme, I just exchanged the word 'english' with 'navaho'. :) Did another one with 'Cherokee' too. I would go through all the native languages before english and spanish ever came to north america, but that would take too much effort. There's a lot of 'em. :)

All this bumper sticker does is state the value of Christ's forgiveness. It acknowledges one's imperfection, and shows a hopeful faith in a merciful God. I understand that you might see it as snarky, but most folks with this sticker are actualy decent people who understand what it means to be a Christian.

78. It seems a bit arrogant to me to tout Christ's forgiveness
What about the rest of the world's population? Are we not forgiven if we make a mistake? That message is about as far from Christ's philosophy as one can get: "hey, it's alright if you screw up, as long as you're Christian. The rest of you, well, too bad."

Could that be any more arrogant?

that fish symbol came from...
I'll give you a hint. It's got a pagan origin. Relating directly to fertility.

Okay, I'll skip the hints. Turn it sideways, and it's a pagan symbol for a vagina. They're putting the name of their lord and savior inside a sideways pagan vagina. :)

In the parking lot at work one day last summer. "Save a baby seal. Club a liberal instead."

I went around asking who's car it was because I was going to tell them to try to club this liberal and see what it gets them. Never found who's car it was and never saw it again.

More recently I saw one that said, "Life's a bitch so don't vote for one." With a small picture of Hillary on it.

"But, Officer, his sticker implied he thought shooting me would be perfectly okay! I just acted to keep myself safe!"

Might be able to pull it off here in Florida, but not anywhere else.

28. We don't go for political statements on cars here
And we don't go for bumper stickers generally. The only stickers we put on cars go in the rear window, and they only tend to advertise people's favourite sports teams, stuff like that.

35. When I loved back to Mass. after being away for 15 years
I wanted to put some decent bumper stickers on the car. My friend Steve told me I shouldn't put politically charged stickers on the car, but I thought that was bogus. I put a small "Impeach Bush" on it, and my favorite one, "God, Protect Me From Your Followers." Nothing ever happened, but I think I was protected because I was in Mass. and not somewhere in the bible belt.

I've seen most of the ones everyone has mentioned. I think that most of them are pretty bad, though like everything else, I would never say too much outloud. They have the same right to their opinion as I do to mine, even though I suspect their level of intelligence. ;)

...on the bumper of his trailer:

in bright red letters. Actually, the first time I saw it I burst out laughing 'cause the guy is so intensely pissed-off at the Sierra Club...still, it's an obnoxious statement...

It doesn't elicit the automatic revulsion the other examples in this thread have. I think "the Bible says it, I believe it, that settles it" one irritates me the most.

65. Maybe it's because I live in Oregon...
...which is a blue state (woo hoo!), but I don't see very many right-wing bumper stickers here.

I did see a "Bush/Cheney '04" sticker a few months ago when a friend and I were out. We're both staunchly anti-Bush, of course, so we spent the next five or ten minutes laughing at it.

I saw one yesterday that said "Frodo Failed - Bush Has the Ring" but I'm not sure if that's right-wing or not.
