So does that makes me mostly Spanish and a little German... or just a "dominirican"?

4. Austro-slovenien, Fr. Canadian, Eng. Canadian, and upstate NY
My 94 year old maternal grandfather came here in 1924 from Weisenfels, Austria, which at that time (and still) is Fusine in Valromana, Italy. His mother was from Slovenia, and the border there is close to all three.

My maternal grandmother was born in Hamilton, ONT. Her father was from England and her mother from Wales.

My paternal grandfather was born in Parry Sound, ONT, to a hockey-playing family. They had french descent somewhere down the line.

My paternal grandmother was born in the Niagra Falls, NY area and her family ties are traced back to Richard Warren, Mayflower passenger.

11. Sure, three or four branches of my family were here prior to 1776
Paternal Grandmother, Born 1912 in New Mexico, Died 1995 in Tulsa, OK, of Anglo/Scots American ancestry traced to pre Civil War, maybe earlier

Paternal Grandfather, Born 1907 in Missouri, Died 1986 in Troy, TN, of Scots American Ancestry traced to early 18th Century America

Maternal Grandmother, Born 1907 in Troy, TN, currently living in Union City, TN, age 100, Anglo American pre 1700

Maternal Grandfather, Born 1904 in Troy, TN, Died 1966 in Gary, IN, of Anglo American Ancestry traced to early 18th Century America

My Wife is First Generation. Her father was born in Germany, 1937, Jewish, they got out a couple days after Kristallnacht. Her Mom was born in Chicago though. All my Wife's Grandparents were either German or Czech Jews. All four of her Grandparents escaped Nazi Germany. My Wife's Family is understandably very cautious about nearly everything.

13. (mom's side) 1/4 Scot-Irish, 1/4 English, (dad's side)1/4 German, another 1/4 Scottish
although there are some more subdivisions going back further. My dad's cousin and another distant cousin of mine both have been working on family trees, and we have some French, some Spanish, some more Scottish, Irish, and English and that's just on my dad's side. We're mutts though and through.

In fact, the only things my family seems to have in common are we're drunks and we all hate each other. Well, "hate" is such a strong word.... how about we just can't stand to be in the same room for more than a few minutes together? Is that better?

My grandfather in the town of Mertzig, and my grandmother in Bissen -- which was just up the road.

I still have loads of relatives there and have met most of them more than once.

Paternal grandfather was 100 percent Irish; paternal grandmother was French/Canadian/Swiss/German/Native American.

My paternal grandparents are both Greeks who were born in Turkey and came to America around 1918-ish. My grandfather died in the 50s and my grandmother died on Christmas day, 1979.

My maternal grandmother is Irish, born in Chicago. She died when my mom was three (1932).

My maternal grandfather is German. I don't know much about him. My mother's family hated him because he was German and he took off after my grandmother died. My mother reconnected with him later in life. I believe he died in the 60s.

All 4 of them are buried on the outskirts of a small Canadian city at the western end of Lake Ontario. At least 2 sets of great-grandparents immigrated from Japan themselves, but went back (leaving their adult children here, by the time WWII broke out). All of them went through the internment camps (along with my parents and all my uncles and aunts). My last living grandparent died in the early 1990s. Based on what happened to them, my mortality chances break down like this: cancer 25%, heart disease 25%, accident 25%, living into my 90s but having dementia for the last couple of decades 25%.

Paternal Grandfather: 100% Saxon
Paternal Grandmother: 50% Borders Scots (Roxburghshire), 25% Unknown English, 25% Unknown Eastern Prussian (Germanic)

85. Complete white bread. Boring.
1/2 Scots (mom) 1/2 English (dad).

Nowadays it's hip to be ethnic and my ethnicity is represented completely by a Union Jack.

Boring.

I was once told by a German fellow I looked German because I'm about as fair as they come. Can't tan at all. Hazel(gold & green, a/k/a light brown) eyes, formerly light blonde hair as a child. Now dirty brown hair, or dishwater brown as we say in the south. Light eyebrows.

I bleach it cuz i still think of myself as a blonde.

88. Scottish, Irish, English (probably Norman)
Father's surname is Scottish.
Father's mother's family is English, though they most likely were given land by William I so they were probably Norman.
Mother's father is Scottish. The family name is an old and prominent clan.
Mother's mother is Irish from Co. Tipperary.

My family has all been in the US for a long time - the most recent branch of immigrants were my Irish ancestors who came over during the potato famine.
