2. I have to make two dresses, one for me and one for one of my daughters
for another daughter's wedding in two weeks. Should Potter take priority?

3. Good to know...
I plowed through 1/4 of it last night in a couple of hours, but chose to sleep instead of the allnighter.

6. I survived Harry Potter weekend!
And all I got was exhausted...

Yeah... I work p/t at Borders...so Friday I worked 8am-4pm at the office, went home to rest a little, and then headed to the mall (where my store is). Got there around 8:30pm and the store was fucking packed! I wondered if I could make it upstairs to the back room alive!

It was insanely crowded with people just hanging around til midnight. Some genius manager decided to have the costume contest people go down the escalator for the contest...so for about an hour or more no one could get upstairs/downstairs unless they used the elevator... yeah, it was a little crowded. I'm lucky I got to go on my break! :banghead:

6 people won a raffle to be the 1st to buy the book (1 person per register). After that we went about 2 hours or so of ringing up HP books, audiobooks, candy, etc... 3 people at the back registers for ringing up, 2 people bagging (1 of them was me), and 2 people opening boxes(same at front registers)... I think we sold about 1,100 copies in 2 hours...and that's not counting other HP-related merchandise.

We didn't get out of there til 3am...and I had been up since 6:30am the day before...didn't get to sleep until 4am. :boring:

Saturday was much better. We had plenty of copies left for walk-ins. But if I don't see that book for awhile, it would probably be a good thing. ;)

13. Omg...it was insane
Like the holiday season only more frantic... I think we were all exhausted by the time the last customer was gone.

9. I bought it Saturday night...
but it's still sitting on the table in the living room. #2 son sat up and read it in one sitting, though. I don't get it...even a book that I've been waiting anxiously for (maybe ESPECIALLY one I've been waiting anxiously for) I'll take my time reading. To read it too fast is like...oh, I dunno...eating a piece of cake in a single bite. How can you really enjoy it?

Some things should be taken slowly and savored.

11. You read it once to get it in
you read it the second time, more slowly, for the pleasure sans panic.
