My baby is over the Atlantic this very minute!!!

Daughter is in college (finished jr. year) and is on her way to Paris via Air France, to study in Berlin for a month. She took off this afternoon and I took her to the airport.

Said they were gonna take daytrips to Potsdam, Leipzig and Prague.

I've never had a passport and I'm jealous!!!

Told her she better bring me some GOOD chocolate, dammit!!



After I got home I cried from the stress of a)getting to the airport on Friday without getting killed; and b)her leaving, I suppose.

2. I know exactly how you feel . . .

my baby went to Florence for a semester 10 yrs. ago and i 'lost' it after leaving her at the airport. i missed her soooo much and she was homesick for a bit as well. she soon got over it - traveled around italy and other parts of europe and it was the best experience that she could have had. its well worth it and your daughter will amaze you when she returns with even more self-confidence and knowledge.

note: when she returned home - i left for Paris with a friend for 10 days. perhaps a trip abroad might be in the cards for you as well!!
