6 years of my life did NOT go up in smoke! (Happy Dance)
(OK, there was no actual smoke involved)

My hard drive from my old computer is fine! I can read the data AND it only cost me aprox $17 not the $100 quoted by the stupid Staples person.

My new mantra...I will create back ups.

I purchased an external hard drive and I regularly back up all my important stuff to that harddrive.

That also made it easy for me to move all my music from my home computer to work. I just brought the hard drive into the office one day. :)

7. I didn't even have a print out of my current resume
Which made the get back looking for a job thing rather hard. Plus work samples. All my contacts. I also had tax files etc.

There are times I wish I never got this laptop! But most times, I am glad I have it! At least I can read my email...that matcom used to read a delete! LOL!

This is one of many stories I've heard recently about how fantastic their customer service and their computer nerds are. How great is that?!

13. Backups are our friends
I could care less about everything on this computer except the 8000+ songs I have uploaded - they get backed up once a week
