To bad Mommy's employer (Ivy-Tech State Collage, Bloomington, IN) fired my wife for not reporting to work on Dec. 30th while 40 weeks pregnant and off work due to pregnancy problems. The baby was born on Jan. 4th and the Dr's sent in numerous slips to her employer, but the still fired her and denied her FMLA leave. So now we have a baby and a EEOC suit (needless to say, her supervisors are republicans. Cold and mean!
It sucks, but hey I got me another baby that I love very, very much

I birthed 3(2 physically and 1 metaphorically)baby Democrats. The first one held, the second is Repug, and the viability of the 3rd is still out, as she is only fourteen. But I have my challenge cut out for me. She was in counseling at age 12 after one of her teachers committed suicide and the counselor asked her what bothered her the most about me and she responded that I was too "politickle."

Don't know how well that expression will travel but I hope all goes well with your action against your wife former employers. In Australia you can't be fired while on sick leave and while we still languish with the US and a few third world nations in not mandating paid maternity leave - you would win an unfair dismissal claim here hands down with the info above.
