1. My dear Whoa_Nelly!
I hear you on that one!

It does rather look like a cactus, doesn't it?

And I already wear glasses....:scared:

Still gotta say, the resemblance is quite amazing, as demonstrated here!

One of these things is not like the other

20. Am doing well--and you?
Am back after almost a month of being on the road. Have many pics to process, and will post soon... ;)

Drove to OKC, then Tucson, then back home for a few days (total trip time on that one two weeks)
Home for a week, then a full week over to the central CA coast over the week of the 4th.
Will probably take another trip to the coast or the Sierras early August when an old Tucson high school friend comes out to visit.

How have you been, dear Tyler?

21. That's just what I needed.
Oh, hanging on, working and putting up with the conservative jive that flows here like sludge from a sewer. August 17 we head down to Virginia. I lived in Norfolk for a while, and I'm going to give the family a Civil War Battlefield tour. SO thinks it's great, 11 year old calls it "the snooze cruise." Beaches on the bay that sort of thingy. Norfolk is one of the more tolerable cities I've lived in...who knows, might end up there if I don't croak in the saddle first!

BOY you be traveling. I've done some driving in that area and those are some lengthy drives. Is this business or pleasure? I'm lucky if I get to DETROIT once in a while!

Keep your hand on the throttle and your eyes on the rails, kiddo. LOVES me some redheads!

22. Was a combo of pleasure and work
Did Interior Design (my biz) while in OKC and Tucson. Created three new window treatments in OKC, and did a four room redesign on a house in Tucson (and did that one in 2.5 days! Whew!)

As for lengthy drives...am used to those particular road trips, the landmarks, the towns and no towns for miles... The high desert to the plains is a pretty drive. And, as a former Tucsonan, it was great to be back home, albeit briefly, and seeing old friends. OKC is where I spent most of my childhood, and while that is also a "being back home", I know I could never live there again...too red.

Your upcoming trip sounds way cool! Hope you take lots of pics! Have always wanted to see Civil War sites. My G-G-grandfather was head of a regiment out of Illinois.
