4. well I think this list is annoying
I happen to like mambo #5, its a happy song :)

The thong song was tolerable and kinda funny actually

and Cher's Believe is a great song.

I don't know if I've ever heard my humps.

There are way more annoying songs than those on that list.

7. My Humps REALLY deserves the top spot. The Lyrics alone merit the ranking...
My Humps - Black Eyed Peas

What you gon' do with all that junk?
All that junk inside your trunk?
I'ma get, get, get, get, you drunk,
Get you love drunk off my hump.
My hump, my hump, my hump, my hump, my hump,
My hump, my hump, my hump, my lovely little lumps. (Check it
out)

I drive these brothers crazy,
I do it on the daily,
They treat me really nicely,
They buy me all these ice-ys.
Dolce & Gabbana,
Fendi and then Donna
Karen, they be sharin'
All their money got me wearin'
Fly gearrr but I ain't askin,
They say they love my ass 'n,
Se7en Jeans, True Religion,
I say no, but they keep givin'
So I keep on takin'
And no I ain't fakin'
We can keep on datin'
I keep on demonstrating.

My love, my love, my love, my love
You love my lady lumps,
My hump, my hump, my hump,
My humps they got u,
She's got me spending.
(Oh) Spendin' all your money on me and spending time on me.
She's got me spendin'.
(Oh) Spendin' all your money on me, on me, on me

What you gon' do with all that junk?
All that junk inside that trunk?
I'ma get, get, get, get, you drunk,
Get you love drunk off my hump.
What u gon' do with all that ass?
All that ass inside them jeans?
I'm a make, make, make, make you scream
Make u scream, make you scream.
Cos of my hump, my hump, my hump, my hump.
My hump, my hump, my hump, my lovely lady lumps. (Check it out)

I met a girl down at the disco.
She said hey, hey, hey yea let's go.
I could be your baby, you can be my honey
Lets spend time not money.
I mix your milk wit my cocoa puff,
Milky, milky cocoa,
Mix your milk with my cocoa puff, milky, milky riiiiiiight.

They say I'm really sexy,
The boys they wanna sex me.
They always standing next to me,
Always dancing next to me,
Tryin' a feel my hump, hump.
Lookin' at my lump, lump.
U can look but you can't touch it,
If u touch it I'ma start some drama,
You don't want no drama,
No, no drama, no, no, no, no drama
So don't pull on my hand boy,
You ain't my man, boy,
I'm just tryn'a dance boy,
And move my hump.

My hump, my hump, my hump, my hump,
My hump, my hump, my hump, my hump, my hump, my hump.
My lovely lady lumps x3
In the back and in the front.
My lovin' got u,
She's got me spendin'.
(Oh) Spendin' all your money on me and spending time on me.
She's got me spendin'.
(Oh) Spendin' all your money on me, on me, on me.

What you gon' do with all that junk?
All that junk inside that trunk?
I'ma get, get, get, get you drunk,
Get you love drunk off my hump.
What you gon' do with all that ass?
All that ass inside them jeans?
I'ma make, make, make, make you scream
Make you scream, make you scream.
What you gon do with all that junk?
All that junk inside that trunk?
I'ma get, get, get, get you drunk,
Get you love drunk off this hump.
What you gon' do wit all that breast?
All that breast inside that shirt?
I'ma make, make, make, make you work
Make you work, work, make you work.
She's got me spendin'.
Spendin all your money on me and spendin' time on me
She's got me spendin'.
Spendin' all your money on me, on me, on me.

10. I was happy to see that one on the list
although I think 'Don't worry, be happy' should be there too

and 'achy breaky heart'

and personally I find 'Start me up' to be very annoying

I cannot remember 'Believe'. I wonder if it is on my computer.

Also, when watching the news today I got a really annoying earworm.
'Unchained mellow-dy' :scared:

9. I have 3 of them
Believe, Wannabe and Mambo #5.

I think Believe is deserving. I have it because it's very catchy, but it can be annoying, too.

Out of those they named, only My Humps is REALLY annoying to me.

Missy Elliot's "Get UR Freak On" should be #1.

She would play "My Heart Will Go On" on repeat for, like, an hour and a half and just weep herself senseless. I hate that song so much I can't even put it into words.

Is "Wannabe" the "I tell ya what I want" song the Spice Girls did? Eh, yeah, it's annoying I guess but I would've put Hanson's "Mmm Bop" up there.

18. Said the "So Desperate to be Hip" fossil of a magazine.
While Rolling Stone's been great in terms of politics, their musical coverage leaves little to be desired. It's all about starhumping the latest major-label buzzband that sounds either like the Replacements or REM with Pro-Tools and a Korg. They've featured at least 6 of those "annoying" artists on their cover and in their magazine at one time.

26. Rolling Stone lost the musical edge back in the 70's.
Creem was my favorite source of info. Crawdaddy was already the intellectual choice. And the NME was good for figuring out what the Brits were up to.

But Rolling Stone gave us some fine journalism over the years. Fear & Loathing, anyone?

So I'll probably buy the anniversary issue....

31. #3 dogs out-special place in hell
My youngest boy plays hockey-Youth program-been playing maybe 5-6 years now.
The Youth hockey association teams are called the "Ice Dogs"
You get the idea?
It seems that before or between periods of virtually every damn home game-and trust me--there are alot of games, out come who let the dogs out over the sound system. and loud too.
As loyal hockey club fans, we are sort of supposed to bark and howl at the correct times.
(Hockey Parents are a STRANGE LOT)
If your kids team is winning you do not mind.
If your kids team is awful (year before last 0-for the season) it is just painful

On the bright side-At least they are not called the Fighting Macarenas

Shit a brick, that "song" drives me up a wall! Gwen's voice has an annoying resonance that makes her head sound as if it's completely empty...and the lyrics sound like they came from someone whose head was completely empty.

Then again, I find American consumer pop culture to be annoying overall, so what do I know...I generally avoid American Idol (though I do respect Mr. Jackson, he's a fine bassist and producer) and I stay WELL away from the local pop-tart station (in Madison that would be Z-104...the station that makes one desirous of razor blades with which to slash one's wrists, so to speak...damn station grates on the nerves like a cheese grater, and we know from cheese graters in Wisconsin... ;) )

54. Good guess.
Happens to be right. Though, to be fair, I don't recognize the Celine Dion song.

I don't get how anyone can hate "My Humps," frankly. It's a silly, simple little dance ditty. It's like saying "I hate Mary had a little lamb." It's not a serious enough song to hate.

56. I've never heard it, but
I absolutely LOATHE "silly, simple little dance ditties." If such a song gets major airplay or is used at a sports stadium, it is serious enough for me to hate because of the exposure it gets.

I have a feeling that I'd hate "My Humps," especially after seeing the lyrics elsewhere in this thread. I'm doing my best to avoid it.

58. So let me get this straight. You are admiting you hate a song because others like it?
I mean, you just said "If such a song gets major airplay or is used at a sports stadium, it is serious enough for me to hate because of the exposure it gets."

That was exactly point in my first post. Some people just think it's cool to hate something because others like it. I don't let other people's opinions influence what I like or dislike in that way.

64. No, you misunderstand entirely, although I didn't phrase it well.
I was answering your point as to whether a song is "serious enough to hate." If I ALREADY hate a song and I get bombarded with it by way of airplay, it is more than serious enough to hate on that basis alone. In other words, I hate it to begin with, but it even if it's a parody song or a "silly little dance ditty," it's serious enough to warrant severe hate because I can't avoid the fucking thing.

Am I making sense yet? The opinions of the rest of society don't mean shit to me when it comes to music, but when something I dislike is always in my face (a shitty song, American Idol, etc), it doesn't matter if it's a dance ditty or not, it's serious enough to hate.

63. Please tell me you don't hate "Blitzkrieg Bop."
It gets far too much airplay in sports stadiums, but that's not the song's fault.

I'd have hated it all by itself, but seeing it ruin sporting events for me made it worse.

On edit, I should also add that I don't care for the Ramones at all.

Nope.

Rolling Stone and I are in complete agreement here.

68. what about that
hollaback girl song. :puke:

There's one out about how some guy likes to 'killaman' and how he brags about it and what a great thing that is to do. (or something like that. I tried to listen to it to see if it was saying what I thought it was saying. Maybe it was satire or something. but noooo - what a piece of crap that is.)

And while I'm on a

there's another one about how a guy totally hates some girl who's evidently a total b*tch - but he's gonna "f" her anyway 'cause she's so good at it.

JHFC - who writes this sh*t. Who LISTENS to this sh*t? Who produces and promotes garbage like this?

:wtf: is WRONG with people?

86. I'm pretty sure you're referring to...
Cypress Hill's "How I Could Just Kill a Man," which was covered by Rage Against the Machine and it's probably the recording you heard...it's not "satire," but it's not crap...and you would do well to understand the meaning of the song because it goes to the heart of our present situation in Iraq.

It's gonna be a long time before I finish
One of the many missions that I had to establish
To lite
My spliff ignite
You with insight
So if you ain't down, bullshit!
Say some punk tried to get you for your auto
Would you call the One-time and play the role model?
No! I think you'll play like a thug
Next you hear the shot of a magnum slug
Humming coming at ya
Yeah ya know I'm gonna gatt ya!
How you know where I'm at when you haven't been where I've been?
Understand where I'm coming from
When you're up on the hill in your big home
I'm out here risking my dome
Just for a bucket
Or a fast duck it
Just to stay alive, yo I got to say "fuck it!"

Here is something you can't understand
How I could just kill a man
Here is something you can't understand
How I could just kill a man

87. I still don't get it.
"One-time tried to come in my home
Take my chrome
I said, "Yo, it's on!"
Take cover son or you're assed-out
How do you like my chrome then I watched the rookie pass out
Didn't have to blast him but I did anyway
That young punk had to pay
So I just killed a man"

Sounds like he's glorifying killing to me.

If you can explain, please do.

It doesn't help that - no, I DON"T understand half the damn words he's using. (yeah, I'm getting old. Can you dig it?)

90. The point is that...
Poor men kill eachother in the streets over a bit of bling because it's life or death while the rich sit in their million dollar homes on top of the hill and know nothing of the life and death, struggle for survival that is taking place in the hoods and barrios below them. Killing is a learned behavior and the song demonstrates how the individual enters the cycle of violence and perpetuates it. That lyric in particular is showing how killing becomes a merciless, greedy endeavor. Like empire, violence is often a way of life.

edit to clarify - when I say "it's" - I mean the song itself. Your interpretation is great - and hopefully correct. But the song itself - to the average 12 yo? What do you think THEY make of it?

81. I was dreading reading this list but you know...this is a damn good list.
1. The Black Eyed Peas - My Humps. Let me just say this: I hate a lot of music. I'm very critical. I've hated a lot of shitty songs over the years from many different decades. NO SONG EVER MADE CAN TRUMP THIS ONE FOR SHEER MAGNITUDE OF SUCK. Yes, even Nickelback must bow before this song's sheer ass-factor. Dumbest lyrics I've ever heard, Fergie's voice sounds like a chipmunk that's been huffing gasoline, and the video is a cheap tawdry tramp fest which glorifies in objectification of women. Way to go, Fergie, you're quite the feminist!
2. Los Del Rio - Macarena. Drives men to kill.
3. Baha Men - Who Let the Dogs Out. This song is total shit.
4. Celine Dion - My Heart Will Go On. Back in 1999 I was in China for an exhange program with a school in Nanjing. They LOVED this song over there back then. Too bad, as it is a festering moldy pile of ass.
5. Nickelback - Photograph. Thank you, Rolling Stone, for including the Master of Cheese, Nickelback, on your list. You've regained about 500 legitimacy points in my book...giving you a grand total of...400 legitimacy points. Good show.
However, 'Photograph,' while it is a big smoldering sack of suck, can not compare to 'Animals,' the song that murdered rock and roll and then brutally defiled its corpse.
6. Lou Bega 'Mambo No. 5' - Pure stupidity. It's not the worst, but hey, I won't disagree with it.
7. James Blunt - 'You're Beautiful' Weird Al's 'You're Pitiful' is much more apt. Blunt, you ARE pitiful, and so is this song. If I sang this song to a girl, I hope she would jab a rusty fork into my eye. I would certainly deserve it.
8. The Spice Girls - Wannabe. Shit, you'd need an entire list of Spice Girls stuff...but this is certainly the worst of their garbage. When this song first came out, I remember being stunned, literally STUNNED, that a song could get that bad. I mean...this was before Nickelback. Until Nickleback, 'Wannabe' was definitely among the top 5 'songs that make me want to kill' in my book. Everything about this song is pure vileness.
9. Sisqo - The Thong Song. I hate this song. I hate it. I really frickin hate it. Oh how I hate it. I'm sorry, black eyed peas and nickleback kind of spent my rage. I'm just running on fumes now. But seriously, this song does suck hard.
10. Cher - Believe. Not sure I know this one, but I'm certain it blows hard.

84. Here's some terrible songs that I would've added to the list...
1. Nickelback - 'Animals' If rock music was a series of sex acts, then 'Animals' is the Cleveland Steamer.
2. Whitney Houston - 'I Will Always Love You' - Sounds like a male cat having his nuts snipped off.
3. Aerosmith - EVERY FUCKING SONG THEY HAVE EVER DONE.
4. Limp Bizkit - Too many to list here. Fred Durst is second only to Chad Kroeger on my list of 'music's biggest douchebags'
5. 'The Milshake Song' - by whoever is responsible for that shit. UGH. Must. Gouge out. Eardrums.
6. 'Candle in the Wind (Princess Diana version)' - Elton John. Elton, you shameless cad. You took a lovely tribute to Marilyn Monroe and mangled, cheapened it. Congratulations.
7. 'The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins' by Leonard Nimoy. Who the hell told Nimoy he can sing? Whoever did should be executed for crimes against humanity.
8. 'In the End' by Linkin Park. I actually like Linkin Park...they're so damn awful that I enjoy their music. It's entertainment, people!

many more to come...once I've visited 'bad music radio' to refresh my memory...

85. Ah, here we go. Bad music radio, y'alls.
http://www.zonicweb.net/badalbmcvrs/badmusicradio.htm
Listen to some of the worst songs ever. I recommend the following 'top 10'
1. Wayne and Liz - 'You're there' hyper relgious creepy garbage and it's completely tone deaf to boot.
2. Rappin Rabbit - 'Any Friend of Jesus is a Friend of Mine' this song is straight up creepy.
3. Don Ashwander - 'The Will of God' what is it with terrible tone deaf christian music? this one also contains a bizarre rant against germany and makes no sense whatsoever.
4. Dean Milan - 'Do it Like a Dog' You better stick to dogs, buddy, since I don't think any self-respecting woman is going to 'do it' with you. Incidentally, it's a bad idea to try and sing with your mouth shot up full of novacaine.
5. Georgina and Cupboard Simon - 'The Message' - 20 points for originality. The early rap classic as interpreted by what can only be a deeply disturbed elderly lady. Shatner should be jealous. He could never hope to butcher a classic song this thoroughly.
6. Lil' Markie - 'Diary of an Unborn Child' - Will make you :puke:. Sage Francis used a clip from this one for the song 'Call me Francois.' Another religious song, not tone deaf, but extraordinarily creepy and bizarre.
7. Wooshie Spkamato - 'Lady' - How can you record a song like this and still believe you have some dignity left? Good luck understanding what he's singing, if you can call his horrid mewling 'singing'.
8. Eilert Pilarm - 'Blue Suede Shoes' - hey, Borat did a song!
9. Ralph Pierce - 'Disco Duck' how this goose egg didn't make Rolling Stone's list I'll never know. Count your blessings, though...this song is what finally killed the horrid beast known as disco.
10. Hulk Hogan - 'Beach Patrol' - why, Hulk, why???

Happy listening! Don't blame me if your ears bleed!
