9. Nah...

I take things in spurts and I'd probably offend serious crafters. I'll knit (or crochet or sew or bake) like a madwoman for months -- and then I won't touch a pair of knitting needles for years and years. During this spurt, I've done a pillow, a blanket, two scarves, two sweaters and I'm working on another sweater. I imagine my creative juices are probably about dried up and I'll get back to writing.

I need to get back to writing. The knitting has just been a procrastination tool. A very effective one, I might add. I haven't written more than once a week for the past three months. I've gotta get back to the novel or my characters are going to wind up in hard drive limbo for who knows how long...

That's the kind of sweater that'll be perfect year after year too, I can tell.

I'm proud of my grapes :D I planted them in 2004 and this is the first year they've started making fruit, I'm so pleased!

What kind of grapes? We don't have the climate for them here (or at least that's how I rationalize it), plus we've got critters that get into everything I try to plant. Bunnies and squirrels and deer.

I've made several blankets -- I always either knit or crochet one for the babies -- and crocheting is so much faster. Baby blankets aren't as large as that one, though.

Straight granny-squares? That's lovely.

It's actually not the conventional granny square... these attach as you go along as opposed to stitching them together when you're done.

I have no idea...the yarn cost me about $20.00 and it took me three weeks to knit. When I finish the sweater I'm working on now, I'm going to do another one like that, only in a light blue.

Then I've just gotta wait for the weather to cool off enough to actually wear 'em.
