Local duck couple (George & Gracie) at our feeder!

I've seen this couple waddling around the neighborhood, but they have never been sighted in our backyard until this morning. Gracie was nibbling some cracked corn while George waited patiently. Occasionally she'd stroll off across the backyard, but George would always follow her protectively. They finally flew away after about 20 minutes. It was so cool!

2. The mourning doves are our most faithful customers

At one time this morning we had the two ducks, a pigeon, about 8 mourning doves, 3 sparrows, a grackle and a house finch. We don't mind that pigeons come to our feeder, as we don't find them "objectionable" as many people do.
