What a beautiful Mother's Day!

My mother would say, "It's an ice cream day". Crisp, clear, warm sun. We grilled last night and this morning went to a place famous for its country breakfasts. My son, a type A, thought the service was slow...it was but, the coffee was good. I guess you can't put the country in the boy! Anyway, it was lovely, just lovely. How about you?

clear, cool, sunny, perfect, actually.

We took my mom to lunch (and me, as well) and the food was great. There were lots of families at the local restaurant and it was fun to see everyone enjoying themselves. We had a nice walk though the small town where I grew up.

all in all, a very nice day.
