The spiders are just mocking me now.
I set a bunch of sticky spider traps around the house because, well, 'tis the season! Spiders scare the crap out of me, so I was hoping the spider traps would prevent an unwanted encounter.

I bent down to check one today and discovered that a spider had built a web DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE TRAP !!

They're mocking me. They gather together in their weekly spiders anonymous meeting and have a good laugh at my expense.

I guess it's back to hand to hand combat.

Jerks.

13. I loves 'em
They seem to enjoy frolicking in my shower. If I spot one, I won't turn on the water until I've coaxed him/her to relative safety.

I call 'em all "dude." :D

19. From everything I've heard about spiders
The second the eggs are hatched, the babies are on their own.

In fact, if they stay around too long, mom may eat them.

4. Y'think that's a wise strategy?
Remember, they have a 4:1 hand-superiority ratio.

15. Oh geeze, then it's a good thing you weren't where I word Friday. The
exterminator was there and sprayed and drove the critters out of their hidey holes. I caught a spider about as big as a half dollar.

I let it loose outside. Spiders are good guys.

16. I know they serve their purpose.
But that doesn't stop my irrational fear.

I would have gone running for the hills at a spider that big.
