3. Funny, I actually went to the island that they used in the opening shots
of Gilligan's Island. It was a great place to picnic and swim, but I wouldn't relocate there, too many tourists.

6. Only if it was like the TV show.
plenty of food and water, decent living spaces, nice weather, the occasional entertaining escapade. Not bad, actually. And the radio always worked.

21. I'd go, but I'd probably get voted off the island
what, with trying to redistribute the Howell's wealth and all.

9. This post reminds me of a joke...
"I grew up in a little town in West Virginia, and let me tell you, Doc, if you only have a year to live, move there."

"Why?"

"Because every day is like a freaking eternity!"

(with all due apologies to folks from VW, etc, etc...)

(ps - I think it would be a nightmare to live on Gilligan's Island)

14. What the hey. It's closer than the mainland!
I seem to recall them saying "250 miles from Hawai'i"; the mainland is at least 2,400.

A tropical paradise where I could study under the professor, drink in the vision of Mary Anne and Ginger, hang with the Skipper, Gilligan, and the Howells?
I'm off!

27. You bet.
I used to watch the show as a kid, and never could figure out why they wanted to be "rescued." There they were in a tropical paradise, secluded from the world, self-reliant, no one to hassle them - why on earth did they keep wanting to leave? It seemed like that island was big enough that they could each have their own little private corner if they got on each others' nerves.

Then again, my priorities have always been a little bit different than everybody else's.
