My parents freighted me as a child.

They'd go to Monte Carlo on vacation, flying Swissaire, first class. Champagne, caviar, Chateaubriand.

They'd ship me in a dog crate in the baggage hold.
And then they'd leave me at baggage claim for the first two days so they wouldn't have to pay for a babysitter.

I only had a box of Cheerios and one of those hamster sucky water bottles in the crate. I had to wear Ultra-Absorbent Pampers.

And even when they finally came to get me, I had to wear a dog collar and a leash. The hotel didn't charge for 'pets'.
