What's it say when ya have to watch MST3K for your sanity?
With all the shit that's been going down, I decided at last to turn it off and try to remember how to laugh, if only for a short while.

I put on one of the old original Mystery Science Theater 3000 episodes, and before ya know it I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes. There was a beginning short, you see, that went to the Circus. And the clowns at one point were "doing it clown-style"...

Perhaps ya had to be there, but I laughed out loud for ten minutes without stopping. And now I feel better, and I think I can get up in the morning and have some hope for the new day.

And I can't tell ya just how much that's worth- I'll bet ya already know.

1. I have been converting all my video tapes to DVD, right now I am working on MST 3000.
The show is a great break from the news, and we need a laugh sometimes.

2. MST3K is the BEST for that!
The perfect stress reliever--a guy and two pupptes, laughing at terrible movies. And most of the last couple seasons are posted on YouTube for all to see...

My favorite? Gotta be "The Final Sacrifice," starring the mellifluously-named Zap Rowzdower, a scrawny geek named Troy, and a bunch of beefy Canucks. Has to be seen to be believed!

4. it's says you're sane
The more *I laugh lately the saner it makes me feel.
Maybe I'm 100% wrong, I don't care, it's laugh or cry for me now.
I want to watch some MST3K too!

5. MST3K didn't do it for me when I went back to them via Netflix after 5 years
Edited on Wed Apr-18-07 07:14 AM by Bombtrack
I was OBSESSED when I was in my teens.

I rented a highly reviewed episode: Red Zone Cuba.

But I couldn't even get through it.

Right now the thing I need to keep sane is Led Zeppelin. Lots and lots of Zeppelin. All 8 glorious albums, plus Coda.

But I probably get my comedy fix via STern, TDS and Colbert every day.

6. I LOVE the circus short!
and the part where the bots want to have their own circus.

"May I remind you, this is a circus, and children will be watching?"
"May I remind you to bite me?"
