We had to drag my brother out of the bar for his wedding but he had just stopped by for a pop that morning. The future Mrs. made him pay for that.

10. It was in Crystal Lake, IL. We more or less eloped.

You don't hear that term much any more, do you?
It's a long story, but we had a few friends present who happened to be in town that day.
We guys were brand new airline pilots (TWA) and some were off flying.
My closest buddy and his wife flew in from KC, where he was based with TWA.
He was best man and she was matron of honor.
Now he's with wife #2 and lives down the street from us.

It was a small church (Episcopal) wedding.
The reception was back at our apartment.
The priest got a little bombed on champagne and backed into another guest's car.

A good time was had by all.
