1. I don't know, but...
If you can figure that one out, you can probably explain why "True Lies" was on the Womens Network last month.

2. You mean you don't remember when the apes ruled?
You must have been sick the week they covered that period in high school.

3. Because it's fictional Heston movie night
If ABC is going to show 'The Ten Commandments' which many cherish as history, then the History Channel feels it must retaliate and show the equally fictional 'Planet of the Apes' in response.

What I want to know is: Why the hell do they show a movie based on Old Testament myth on (New Testament) Easter weekend? There are several movies about Jesus out there they could show instead, if they must.

I vote for "Life of Brian" myself, the best messiah movie ever made.

11. Um - because it's also Passover.
And the events of Easter centered around the Passover. Yeah, that Exodus story thing. Pretty important to the whole thing. :hi:

As for "Life of Brian" -

5. Half of writing history is hiding the truth
...or in this case, showing Planet of the Apes.

6. Because after the Bushies blow the whole place up, THC won't
be able to broadcast prescient documentaries like that...

"You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!"

Yeah that was back then. Today, Heston will volunteer to push the red button himself. F'n nutball retard.

Which will ultimately be DU's collective quote to Bushie.

On edit! I don't know why it's on history...as it's a look into the future. However, I love this movie for all of its campiness. I first saw it when I was 7 y.o., when it first came out.
