Legal question
Edited on Wed Apr-04-07 01:38 PM by Zavulon
Say you work in an office where one of your co-workers, whose cubicle is next to yours, is related to the boss.

Now let's further assume that she has a CD player at her desk, and she keeps playing the same fucking song over and over.

Let's further assume that you hate the song. A lot.

If you ask her to turn down the song or play something else and she refuses, would you be legally entitled to smash the CD player into pieces and shove each individual piece up her ass with a dry broom handle?

I know there are some lawyers on DU and I could really use the advice before launching Operation Rectal Muffling.

Edit, typo

1. Can you use a CD player?
If you can't.. Punch them in the fucking face.

I am not your lawyer.

5. She's female, so hitting her is out of the question. This is why I prefer the proctology idea.

We're allowed to use CD players or play Internet radio through our monitors at low volumes, but this song is so annoying and she plays it so often that it may as well be ten times as loud.

Edit, yet another dumbass typo

6. Not a bad idea, thanks.
I'm going to try to get my hands on it. Of course, the bitch probably has an mp3 of the song as well.

3. Find out what song she really hates, burn to CD, place in CD player.
Bonus if she has a CD changer in her car and you can fill that one up, too. Many years ago, I loaded up a buddy's 10-disc CD changer with 10 discs (12 tracks each) of "Peaches" by Presidents of the United States of America (my buddy's most hated song). When he drove home that night, no matter what he did, he got "Peaches."

7. I wish I knew what she hated, but
it's hard to tell when she only listens to the same sort of crap over and over.

God, I hate that song. Since she has more job security than I do thank to nepotism, I'm seriously thinking of quitting over this.
