First Week as City Editor--on the Clown Desk

I've just finished my first week as city editor of the local newspaper. Today, I was on the clown desk. Look out, Woodward, there's a new kid on the block.

We have just assembled the weekend section. My colleague took the Easter bunnies and egg hunts and I took the puppets and clowns, and I have already heard all the jokes about midnight meetings in underground parking garages with "Deep Clown," so don't bother.

Today's best press release: "Breakfast at the Senior Center. Serving sausage, bacon, fried potatoes, grits, coffee. Free blood pressure screening."
