2. I remember begging my mom in 1994, the day before my first day or high school...
to please let me cut my hair short on one side and long on the other side. She would not allow it lol.

But I did have the Martin Fry look back in 1996 :hide: it was the style for us.

5. Ha. I Just Can't Stand to Hear It Called That
When we were listening to the Cure, New Order, Echo, etc., "Emo" as a term did not exist. Today that word's only purpose seems to be to categorize and diminish a particular type of music, so that the rocker-boys can have the word "alternative" all to themselves and feel macho.

Pisses me off.

Asymmetry was huge in the 80s, in hair AND clothes. And jewelry - I used to wear mismatched earrings a lot.
