I'll start this off by saying that, I'm ANGRY AS HELL because the filthy five US Supreme Court Justasses from the Repub party threw our votes in the TRASH and Selected an Idiot to run the country instead of the people who REALLY won the damned election in 2000! The GOPers wonder WHY we would HATE people who would ruin our country for the sake of Corporate Greed and their unquenchable lust for personal power!

"It's just POLITICS", the fool repig slave-driver types whine 24/7! Explain to the kids Bush is cheating out of an education that it's just politics! Explain to the old folks who can't afford food and medical care that it's just POLITICS! Explain to the people who lost family members in the World Trade Center how it's just POLITICS! Wars are fought and people die over "JUST POLITICS" somewhere on this planet every day! Six Million Jews died in Europe over "JUST POLITICS!"

If your baby wakes up tonight crying and is cold and hungry, because his parents don't have a job anymore! Mom and Dad can no longer buy enough food and keep the overpriced deregulated gas to heat the shack turned on, softly explain to that baby that it's just POLITICS! Don't blame the baby if it grows up and despises the people who are responsible for "Just Politics"!

It's not "Just Politics" that they are pushing that pisses me off, but it's the UNJUST POLITICS!

Yesterday I was in a middle school library that serves over 1,000 students. That library has only ONE employee, the librarian. She did have a part time aide, but the aide left for another job. The school can't replace the aide because they are currently under a hiring freeze due to lack of funds.

There were at least 250 - 300 books awaiting reshelving, tons of new books which needed to be catalouged and shelved and except between classes there were never less than fifty students in that library.

I managed to reshelve about 100 or so books and prepare about 150 more for reshelving, but by that time there were more returned books to reshelve.

Student helpers did their best to reshelve and check books in and out, but usually there were only two students helpers per class period and they were only in the library for 35 to 45 minutes...

No child left behind indeed.

One thing at work here: it's obvious that the GOPers have bought so successfully into their own mythologizing about "wimpy, pansy liberals" that the reality is quite a rude awakening for them. They're trying to figure out what has happened here when liberals suddenly begin to bark and bite. Their playbook has us scripted to back down in any confrontation. The current backlash is showing them how foolish they really are. And like foolish repukes down through the ages, they all figure it's all someone else's fault.
