You ever have a day when you
just. don't. wanna.

I don't wanna do anything today. Someone motivate me?

1. No motivation from here; your body and/or mind is telling you to give everything a
rest for a day. Listen to it and/or them. I know they're right, and I know why.

5. Wouldn't that be nice....
now if I could just convince the Powers That Be....and the laundry....of the same thing.

And then there's the kids...

:hug::hug:

How're you doin' today? Feeling better?

9. Yes, I'm doing better, but there are still, shall we say, issues I continue to have to
deal with. I'm going to go downtown tomorrow and look for an office to rent, because I can't get a moment's peace lately during the day. Having my office in the house has worked for 16 years, but I can't do it anymore.

Aren't your kids old enough to fend for themselves for just a FEW hours so you can decompress?

17. I imagine working at home would have its advantages
but there would be disadvantages, too. Distractions would be right up there at the top.

I'm used to being able to decompress during the day, when everyone's gone. Girly-poo's at home this year though, and fighting the homeschooling. And at work there are other things going on...so...

When I get home and things are quiet has become all there is. Problem is, by then I'm sleepy.

Sleepy or not, when I get home tonight, I'm writing. I'm so far behind, it's not even funny.

25. Girly-poo is fourteen...
going on twenty-four. We had some disciplinary problems with her at the beginning of the school year, so I pulled her out of school until we could get her head back on her shoulders and facing the right way.

The good news is, we're making progress even if she is kicking and screaming the whole way. And if anything good at all has come out of the recent situation with her little niece, it's been to find her taking a hard look at what she's doing with her life. I've done the 'fly on the wall' thing (sometimes being invisible and going unnoticed is a good thing) in the past few weeks and overheard some of her thoughts as she's related them to her brothers.

I'm encouraged.

79. Heh...
I'm a year away from my 30th reunion. They smelled bad then, they smelled bad twenty years later...they still smell bad.

Some things never change.

Kinda like my kids socks if I don't nag at them.

73. At least that
makes you use your mind. I've been knitting. Mindlessly. The same four rows, over and over and over and over and over...

But it's getting to the point where that's all I want to do. I think I need an intervention...

82. it may depend on your personality
one thing that wakes me up is to get good and mad - for instance, go into the GD and read some of the threads. Or listen to Rush Limpballs. It'll only take about four minutes!
