7. Agreed.
Coto de Caza. They refuse to incorporate as a city, but get all bitchy when they have to pay for services such as police, fire, etc. out of their homeowner's association fees.

8. Sounds like a community near where i live, they are just one big
"Master planned" community with a gate and all kinds of special rules, we looked at houses there and i am so glad we didn't buy one.

9. Apparently they are entitled to the services for free
When the rest of us have to pay for them via property taxes, etc.

10. well my solution for thems that doesn't want to pay for community services is--

21. Nope!
We is all right out in the open, or as open as our subdivision can be. (We are in a master planned city, but are in one of the older neighborhoods within that city).

We have no homeowners association, so we do not need permission to plant a tree or anything.

18. OMG-my brother in law and wife libed in Coto for years. I haven't
watched the show but the impression I get is that they are shown EXACTLY like my relatives were. Huge house, four various kinds of service employees, the Ferrari, you get the picture. I say were, because they lost everything in a lawsuit against their company (which they cheated and said was female owned in order to get govt contracts, btw). When they lost everything, all of their "friends" left them behind so they went to Rick Warren's megachurch and found solace there. Now bil has a business where he signs up people to use certain credit cards at certain stores to give a percentage to charities---he takes 15% off the top. So, soon, he'll be rich again. (I am so proud to be related to them...)

circle-jerk club who met often with people like Rove, etc. Funny how they dropped him like a stone when he lost his fortunes. Real friendship, huh?
