Thank you everyone. I have friends on the right who say I'm not a moderate if I support Obama. I have friends on the left who say the same thing. I'm sick of everyone telling me what I am. I know I am a moderate and I know I loves me some Barack!

7. I am not as far left as some
I'm "moderate" because I'm not as far left as some. I am not a fan of socialism. I don't think special interest groups of either side should have as much power as they do. I like some Republicans. I think tax policy should be more about government revenue instead of class warfare. Ok, flame on.

Abortion is settled law and should stay that way. Gay marriage is something we should have done 50 years ago.

Sorry, I've just been warned a little about here. I am not so good at this but I am learning. I've kept my mouth shut for a long time, but now that my daughter is in school it's time to speak out a bit. Thank you for making sure my first thread doesn't die.

17. Crist has been a pleasant surprise so far
But that's because the country is tilting left and he's a political whore (and possibly other type also). I like Rudy. Pro-choice and pro-gay. He's too hamhanded to run the country. My cousin in New York loves him, and I tell her she should get him to be mayor again if she likes him that much. I don't think running a city is the same as running the nation.

Rudy is an authoritarian, however. (Look it up yourself; I'm not gonna provide you with links) I have a real problem with candidates who think that an administrative position = blank check to do whatever they "feel" is right. Do some research and get back to us, OK?

25. Progressive taxes and undoing the Bush tax cuts
are not about class warfare. Republicans are the real practitioners of class warfare as they wage war on the working class.

26. I agree about the republican
But I think some washington insiders in the DNC are just as bad. I also think Social Security is the most regressive tax ever invented.

We're low-key. GD tends to be brutal. Any idea or POV you have, somebody in GD will find stupid and tell you so...usually rudely.
