1. I wish I could help, but on the plus side,
I promise not to copycat this thread... O8)

Have you tried Home Depot, Lowes, et al, to see if they have anything that will remove them?

4. From the Wallies site
http://www.wallies.com/about/index.htm

WALLIES are strippable. To remove, simply wet the cutouts very well and peel them off; the glue is water soluable.

8. unfortunately, I don't think what I have all over my new
house are real wallies. the water trick didn't work. neither did the wallpaper remover. steam did make them bubble a bit though. I can scratch at them with my fingernail and pieces come off.

I don't think I should just paint over them. and the paint is intact underneath the parts that I did scrape off.

I should take photos for you. they are all over and some are quite big!

11. Try spraying with liquid fabric softner, then

covering in newspaper and saturating that. Let soak for a while (keep checking it), and it should come off.
here's a site that explains all that:
(except for the addition of the newspaper...that's something learned from a friend's mom...and it works!)
http://www.ehow.com/tips_221.html

OH! And before you spray, use a Paper Tiger to score them so the fabric softner can get under it to loosen the adhesive.

Paper Tiger

PAPERTIGER® Wallcovering Scoring Tool perforates waterproof wallcoverings so remover solution can penetrate and resolubilize paste. PAPERTIGER's patented scoring disks open surface holes to let DIF® penetrate and attack the paste.

10. Somebody said earlier for wallpaper to spred on a mixture of liquid fabric softener and water.
Apparently it worked, so it sounds like it's worth a shot.
