1. Great movie. Captured Maine life suprisingly well. Some baaad Maine accents in that movie though.
Can't fake a Maine accent. Tim Sample is proof of that (he's a new hampster kid).

5. Really? What part? We own the movie, so next time I watch it, I'll keep an eye out.
I'll point it out to my wife and say "That's a DUers brother!"

She'll probably roll her eyes at the mention of DU though!

4. the maine accents never sound right. I can't even think of a
movie where they actually did.

I grew up in Maine.

6. I also read the book. After that, I read every book that Richard Russo ever had published.
I didn't see the movie.

7. I haven't read his other books though my sister tells me they
are good. I don't read as much fiction as I do non-fiction.

8. Nobody's Fool was great.
I could picture Paul Newman playing the role as I was reading the book, without knowing he was in the movie.

9. I highly recommend it.
I loved the book and the mini series. The guy that played Paul Newman's father was awesome, too.

10. I saw it when they showed it here on TV, since it *IS* about Maine.

I thought it was interesting, though the Maine accents sucked, hard. :P

The panoramic camera views of the coast were awesome, though. I believe there was one of that big-ass Nonantum Resort in K-Port.
