My first dive into "adult" novels i.e. anything other than V.C. Andrews and Sweet Valley High was "The Other Side of Midnight".

He is also responsible for creating "I Dream of Jeannie" and produced "The Patty Duke Show"

I confess to loving his books. You could finish one in a day or two on a lounger in the backyard. RIP Mr. Sheldon.
