2. Plenty!
I responded to your post on the other thread.

I'm tired of my generation being blamed for all of societies ills when I can look around and see a generation of hard working people who sacrificed to give their kids a better life than they had.

5. The only thing I am pissed off at SOME gen X'ers about
is being too young to know the progress the world was beginning to make in the area of race and sexual equality prior to Ronald Reagan's presidency.

I see people on this board everyday who like to think they are progressive then use terms coined by the Reagan/Gingrich revolution as though they are common english.

who used the term 'Islamofascist'.

Don't even get me going on the ones who use 'partial-birth abortion'.

:grr:

And I'm GenX, BTW

8. The only problem I have with them is the way some of them drive
Way too fast, way too aggressive, music way too loud.

If I can hear the bass from your stereo from inside of my truck when we're both driving 70 MPH and I have my radio on, yours is too loud.

10. The ones complaining about the boomers are very tedious...
Edited on Mon Jan-05-04 12:10 PM by SiobhanClancy
It's almost funny...when I was a teenager and college aged,we all complained about our parents' generation. They were "plastic",they were warmongers, they were responsible for all the ills of society. Their particular generation is now,of course, the "Greatest" Generation.
Most people(af any generation)do they best they can at raising their children. These pot and booze parties? How come nobody invited me to these, while my husband and I were trying to raise a child, with him working for VISTA and inching his way toward his MSW? Honestly,we could have used a break sometimes:) And these kids today have never been to a "greatest generation" cocktail party,I guess. Those people could put away the booze, believe me.
Complaining about previous generations is pointless...it does no good at all. All it does do is help to divide people. Labels aren't cool, generational or otherwise. I suggest doing away with them.
