2. They are promoting one for this Spring

with George Takei. From the end-of-episode preview, he's got a kind of movie-era Khan look going on...

3. Every once in a while...

...just for a moment, "Kirk" looks like Shatner. Just a little bit. Doesn't act like him, though, and he needs a haircut. "Spock" looks like a twelve-year-old dressed up for Halloween.

I would say that the acting isn't bad so much as the direction and editing are awful. The shows are full of little awkward pauses.

Well, okay, the acting's not good, either.

4. Agreed

The direction seemed pretty uninspired; the editing was rough. But for a brief while, the shine of seeing new TOS was enough to cover all that up.... :-)
