So, apparently they don't HAVE to spend the money the way the other mom instructed. If I recall correctly, the New Age mom didn't allocate any of the money for surgery. I've always wondered just how binding those instructions on how to spend the money actually are.

I remember her initially turning the money down and tearing up the letter. I just don't remember how she was instructed to spend the money. Just seems to me that most people wouldn't insist on telling someone else to have invasive surgery--but there have been stranger instructions on that show. Did you see the one where the one mom instructed the other to give a chunk of the money to their mayor?
