1. I hope you keep a big stick by the door!... and a shotgun!
to keep all the boys at bay...

I have a 14 year old daughter... I've told her she can't even date until she's 35... or I'm dead... whichever comes first!

Need help keeping those nasty lil boys away? LOL!

She's a beautiful young lady... keep an eye on her!

:hi:

4. Thanks, GhostITM.
I do. She's not allowed to date untl next birthday, so she went with a couple of girlfriends and had the best time! Right now she's giving me the fashion rundown. Oh brother.

2. Oh how they grow.
She's a beautiful young woman. The dance thing was always the hardest for my parents. They forgot that I was one of those gay boys, which would have alleviated a lot of stress for them. She looks happy so keep up the great work.

6. Hell, I went with a gay friend when I was sixteen.
The difference was, of course, that he hadn't outed himself at the time, lol. These are better days in many respects. If Lyle had the same chance as many young people now, he would have gone with my other best friend, Brad. At least now they're both comfortable with themselves.

Sorry about the parents thing. It's about being afraid your child will not be happy while at the same time contributing to your child's unhappiness. A mistake.

19. They came around.
My husband was one of my dad's pallbearers.

When we have kids my fear is that they will turn into an Alex P. Keaton. Hopefully they will turn out as just as liberal as their dads.

10. We are already barring the door at night.
But like her Mama, she has high standards and is content (so far) to wait for something special. That notion will probably be discarded some time next year, I'm aware. :scared:

Then maybe Shrek will rescue her someday!

what the hell am I talking about

I've been arguing in the south bashing thread, and pop in here to respond to your post and I don't think I make sense in either one

I need to go to bed, but there's a war to be fought!

22. I thought that thread was locked!
I didn't even peek in. Been there, done that. I even defend Maine, although I hate the place much of the time.

We do in fact have a "tower" room. And my best girlfriend IRL used to call my ex "Shrek" because he was so physically unattractive and yet so sweet. All bullshit though.

Who me, harping on the ex lately? :eyes:

25. That's it.
I took it from a Thomas Wyatt poem which is presumed to be about Anne Boleyn (Henry VIII's second wife, whom he beheaded).

'Whoso List to Hunt, I Know Where Is An Hind'

Whoso list to hunt, I know where is an hind,
But as for me, hélas, I may no more.
The vain travail hath wearied me so sore,
I am of them that farthest cometh behind.
Yet may I by no means my wearied mind
Draw from the deer, but as she fleeth afore
Fainting I follow. I leave off therefore,
Sithens in a net I seek to hold the wind.
Who list her hunt, I put him out of doubt,
As well as I may spend his time in vain.
And graven with diamonds in letters plain
There is written, her fair neck round about:
Noli me tangere, for Caesar's I am,
And wild for to hold, though I seem tame

23. Thank you Nicole!
She has finally gone to bed after we took many photos of her. This evening she dressed at a friend's house and so I had no pics unless we took them when she came in.

Daughters are wonderful.

The little guy is my oldest son, Juergen, who I "featured" in the ninja video a while back. His first video cam:
