Some days they astound even me. let me first say that I've set a very (VERY) low bar when it comes to my expectations in people. This is especially true in grammar, spelling, context and pronunciation (I don't clench my teeth anymore when someone pronounces Library as "lie-berry", so I must be getting better, right?)

Yet there are times when someone places a big, fat, painted target on themselves and then dares anyone to shoot at them. At least, that how it appears at FR in some instances...

I'm reading through a FR thread re: Healthcare v. Pricing and come across this pricey, little gem...

I'm a mixed bag - I grew up alternating between England and the American midwest/north and ended up in Texas - I tell you though, nothing drives me more insane than the southern penchant for making two syllables out of one - like the word DOOR becomes "DOE-ER" - AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA :puke:

I'm currrently working on pronouncing 'you' so it doesn't sound like 'yew'. Now THAT'S a tough habit to break.
