3. My partner and I went to one called "Hummers" about a year ago

It was freezing cold and I was quite intoxicated. Fortunately this club is owned by a friend of ours, so we got VIP treatment the whole time we were there. :)

4. I went to Sugars last week

I was stuck in traffic and wanted to get outof it and then drive home when the traffic died down. So I went to Sugars, had about four Shiners, a chicken fried steak with onion rings and a lap dance. Then I went home with little traffic to stand in my way. I used to go to them more often, but I don't find them as fun as I used to.

But I must say, the chicken fried steak was good.

but I kind of decided I might be too old for that sort of thing, so I haven't been back since. She might be a better dancer now... :evilgrin:

12. When I was in college...

... my friends took me three hours away to a strip club in Louisville. As soon as I walked in I looked up on stage and saw a girl I was casual friends with in one of my classes. Our eyes locked and immediately the night became awkward. My friends didn't want to leave for almost 4 hours so I had to sit there for about 12 of her dances.

The following monday was awkward to say the least.

8. Went to one with some friends by accident, while I was 17.

There were about 5 or 6 of us, all under 18, and we were looking for this other club in the boonies of northern Connecticut, and walked into what we thought was our destination, a few blocks away.

We learned, within the first 60 seconds, that this was definitely not our destination, as rather attractive and well-figured women on stage were removing their tops. The place didn't seem like it was terribly crowded, and I'm kind of amazed that no bouncer noticed us or did anything about us.

After the free, brief, underage peep show, we decided to leave before we got our asses bounced out. We eventually found the club we were looking for, and apart from that one time, I've never been to a strip club.

My roommates and I went to see a band play, then after the show they decided we should go to a strip club.

It was a guy's night out. Probably the 2nd or third time I had been to one. The group is was with actually turned out to be a mellow bunch. Everyone just sort of sat around. Except for one guy who was seated at the stage giving away every $1 and $5 bill he had. Finally, the one guy who talked us all into going came up with a case of the guilts about visiting a strip bar while his wife was out of town. After about 3 ridiculously overpriced beers each we all agreed. Our buddy at the stage nearly had to be picked up by both arms and dragged away-"C'mon dude, time to go!"
I have always felt uncomfortable in strip clubs. Not exactly sure why.

I'm a guy. I should want such things at some level, but the sleaziness of strip clubs' portrayals in pop culture is a big personal turn-off. It seems to me not only to be incredibly demeaning to strippers, but also to those in the audience.

At my last Army school (BNCOC, for anyone keeping score at home), I was the only member of my squad never to have attended such festivities, and probably the only one never to have gone during the weeks of the school's duration.

21. This might seem ironic coming from me

My husband and I went to a strip club regularly for a while. It was the only bar that I went to where I wasn't sexually harassed.

The club was on it's last legs and the dancers had all seentheir better days. there was one woman whose breasts sagged to her belly, which itself was pretty nasty paunchy and covered in stretch marks.
She had a tattoo on her ass "property of Ice tresspassers will be eaten".
We drank a couple of overpriced beers and left.
