Cleaned up the road today

I did a 1/2 mile on either side of my driveway. Beautiful day and all the leaves are off the brush. 90% of the litter consisted of beer bottles (found 2 100 proof vodka 5ths) the rest was fast food crap. I ended up with a full 30 gallon trash bag full of crap. I wish these people would wake up.

1. That sounds like our yard at the end of the school year

We live a few doors down from a small college campus, and the beginning of the gardening season here coincides with the end of the school year. I find an obscene amount of fast-food trash, beer bottles, etc., among the emerging perennials and raspberries.

We do a bit of that in the spring. How come these folks never throw out cash, or winning lottery tickets? :shrug:

3. We shoot litterbugs here in Oregon.

But seriouslt folks, Our highways are some of the cleanest in the nation. It's the Oregon bottle bill that makes the difference.
