What can I use to double as fake miniature trees?
I have everything to make a graveyard diarama except trees. Oh, and a fence... but that's okay... O8)

1. Raw broccoli stalks, if it's a temporary display.
They won't hold up for long unless they're in water and out of direct sun.

2. The little trees they use on model railways.
They sell them at hobby shops and they're fairly cheap.

5. So is broccoli. And unlike model trees, broccoli is edible.

8. That's a lie our parents tell us when we're young.
Broccoli is not edible. Not even a little bit.

6. You could probably get real fake miniature trees at a craft store.
You could make real real miniature trees out of real tree twigs. If you want fake fake miniature trees, you're on your own.

10. I would suggest Fake Plastic Trees...
From Radiohead's "The Bends" CD. It won't help you with your project, but you'll surely enjoy the music!

11. Moss and small sticks or...
or put cotton balls in a zipplock bag with a small amount of leaf colored paint smush the paint throughout the cotton. Wire doubled and twisted into the shape of a leaveless tree then painted works too. Or wrap/cover the wire with strips of brown paper grocery sack. dilute some elmers glue in water, then soak the paper strips, lay the strips on the wire

Get some old christmas wreaths and cut them apart for evergreen trees.
Who knows what else will jump out at you.

17. I'd go with little twigs.
Skip the foliage. They should be dead trees. Or at least leafless. It's a cemetery in October.

15. Actual miniature trees?
Bonsai trees are expensive and need tending, but are still the best.
