I find myself far more intrigued by the FABULOUS furnishings in the second two photos than your leather-covered ass! That is some bee-yoo-tee-ful stuff, you have there! Is that a Japanese/crane pattern on the rattan set?? And the lamp, what is that form that makes up the base???

I am a complete mid-century WHORE -- I long for a rattan set. I saw a site that tells you how to make your own rattan furnishings -- it's not easy, but cheaper than the knock-offs and a heck of a lot cheaper than the vintage.

Very, VERY tasty stuff!

a woman after my own heart. I do the same thing.

The rattan set is not rattan, actually. It is Heywood Wakefield Ashcraft, which is steam bent ash. The pattern is japanese bonsai trees. it has mkatching end tables. a corner table. and a coffee table.

The lamps base is nothing i can identify. But it is cool.

What you don't see in the picture is the bamboo bookshelves, the pink vinyl blanket chest and the 1954 jukebox.
