more bullcrap at school (lunch and punishment)...
some kid punched me, and I got punished for it. the kid who punched me didn't. CAN YOU SAY BULLSHIT?

And with the school lunch, I wasn't hungry (really, I wasn't), and we've got these "lunch cards" that you have to slide the card through and checks you off some electronic list of students who got lunch. fo a few times, I had forgotten to take this card. 2 students who sat near me weren't either, but the card people said that if I didn't eat the lunch again that I would be in The Office. :wtf:I said I wasn't hungry.

I've been there, know whole shit is. This seems like something that would happen to my brother, who admittingly IMO is a shitwad, but its not always his fault, and the admin likes to blame him. I had a situation when I was a seventh grader, I would be talking to my friend in the locker room after I got dressed, and this kid couldn't stop making fun of me. Typical crap I know, hold tough dude.

2. what grade are you in?
and what state do you live in? Sounds pretty big brotherish tracking what you purchase for lunch....after all, purchasing lunch doesn't mean you actually ATE it...

12. oh, that explains it
If you have been vocal in your oppostion of Bush, they probably have an "eye out" for you. It stinks being in an area where most people don't think the way you do.
Can you bring lunch to get around the whole them telling you when to eat thing? Is there anything else you can do during lunch rather than hang around people who want to pummel you?
I'm work in a school and it bugs me when kids get picked on by administrators for their beliefs.
Hang in there and come here! We like you!

At least you don't have a Dominican brother standing by the trash can saying "Padraig, are you aware that there are hungry people in this world who would love to have that perfectly good food you're about to throw away?". School is school, dude.

:P

8. There are people in the world
that will just be pricks. When I went through middle school and high school, you would always have the clowns or the pricks in your grade. That is just a part of that time of your life.

However, what I did find out later is that when you graduate from high school, they go away because then you wouldn't have to deal with them anymore. The ones who do their homework, are respectful of each other, and are sincere in their demeanor end up going to college and getting a job. The pricks end up being that way until they finally realize that they aren't getting anywhere by being the way they are.

So keep up the good work and don't let them get in the way. :-)

Cheers

9. It's this that really pisses me off about schools
Some people don't realize just how authoritarian schools have become these days. How much trouble did you get for getting punched? (my school has similar crappy rules like that)

10. Does that mean you are FORCED to eat lunch????
What if you do not like the menu for the day? What if your mother packed your lunch? This makes NO sense to me...I am sure it has something to do with federal dollars into the coffers of the school lunch program...and if you are not a GOOD student...who contributes to the 'catsup is a vegitable' program you are a dissident....

Good for you...be a dissident, because 'catsup is NOT a vegitable'...in fact tomatoe is a fruit????

21. I don't have a normal lunch period
One of the odd parts of taking four AP classes is that you have to bring your own lunch, because the cafeteria is closed. Well, no monitoring...I forgot to eat lunch today and nobody noticed.

23. In fourth grade, my son and a friend of his were pushed into the
lunch table. His friend pushed the instigator back, while my son picked himself up. (He had a huge bruise on his tummy from the table when he got home.) The instigating kid immediately ran to the cafeteria proctor and claimed that my son and his friend had pushed him for no reason.

Up shot? My son, (who did not push back) and his friend were both punished (by losing recess) while the instigator was not.

I did let the teacher know that I was roylly ticked off, but the damage was aleady done. On the plus side, however, I let two teacher know that the cafeteria proctor had a long reputation of not getting the facts straight before reporting wrong-doing to the teachers AND that they should conduct their own little investigations before doling out punishment.

Sometimes school suck, and I say that as a substitute teacher. :)

25. Stand fast, stand firm
If you're not hungry, you're not hungry.

The authorites at the school my cousin went to actually forced her to eat lunch a few times when she wasn't hungry - my aunt, when she found out, walked over to the school and gave them holy hell saying, in effect, "My kid will eat when and what she wants, and if you force food on her or refuse food to her, you will be majorly up shit *#$^$%*( creek".

Have your parents call the school, and tell them to *^*#$ the hell off. And I mean that seriously - monitoring whether you purchase lunch is pure bullshit.

Though on the other hand, I wouldn't be surprised if there's some fear on their end that a parent might bring a lawsuit on them saying, "The school never lets my kid eat", so they need all the proof they can find and do all their own due diligence to show that, in fact, they have a very aggressive intent of GUARANTEEING that every child gets to eat. So the school could be getting insane amounts of pressure from above, too.

Still, I'd have your parents call and let them know that if you don't feel like eating, it's none of their *$^$%# business.
