Bliss is...
sitting by the pool, posting on DU, roasting in the sun, with a Marlboro Light in my mouth and a Patron margarita at my side.

1. Laying on the beach
With a book on my ipod, watching little kids play. That will be my life this time next week.

2. I spent last week at the beach.
Man, I'd love to live on a houseboat.

3. A spa in New York that sells yummy bath and skin care products
:P Seriously, bliss is driving around the town where I grew up and not needing a road map to get around even though I never drove in the town when we lived there (I was too young) and there had been a huge lapse of time since I had been there. :D The town is very special to me, and it always will be. :loveya:

4. Speaking of skin care products...
John Masters Organics needs to bring back their exfoliants. They had a bamboo lemograss one that was incredible and they discontinued it. It was the best exfoliant ever. I've been searching for a suitable replacement, but I don't think I will ever find one.

6. I've heard good things about John Masters Organics.
If I ever see any bamboo lemongrass exfoliant in the discontinued section, I'll let you know right away. I hate it when stuff like that happens. Either the best products are discontinued or the formula changes so it's not the same. That happened with my all-time favorite body lotion---Back to Basics Coconut Mango. They added shea butter and reformulated the lotion. Shea butter actually dries my skin out. :(

8. I like some of their stuff, but I think some of it sucks.
When I was a manager at natural foods store, I'd get all sorts of free shit, so I got to try pretty much everything. Their jojaba face wash is pretty good and I use their Vanilla Bourbon Tangerine Hair Texturizer. Their spray toners are also very refreshing, especially the rose one. For face products, I prefer Borlinde though. Dr. Hauscha is supposed to be better, but I found their stuff to be overrated and even pricer than Borlinde (I'm happy I didn't have to pay for it).

9. Thanks for the warning. I tried a starter kit of Dr. Hauschka's
facial care, and I hated every single product in the kit. :grr: At least I didn't buy those things in full sizes. I have friends who rave about the lip balm, but it really sucks IMO.

10. Yeah, I actually have a few of those starter kits at home.
I use them when I'm traveling, but that's it. I used to go to all the body care product trainings for the free stuff, even though I was manager of the grocery department (I'd get to score free food too).

12. Awww...cute dog.
I fostered a brindle pit bull for a week with white paws and a white blaze over his pink nose.

13. Bliss is one year from now, after working at yet-to-be discovered-new job,
saving money, vacationing in Paris to visit again the
Shakespeare & Co. bookstore and dine at the sidewalk cafe
in the shadow of Notre Dame under the Paris evening sky....

15. Knew about the one in NYC, but a google search showed...
they're actually totally unrelated. Apparently, the one in Paris allows young writers to stay there for free in exchange for work. Hmm...that may come in handy for my yet-to-be-planned next European excursion.

17. That is true, we talked a clerk in the store for quite awhile.
Beautiful black cat slept on piles of books, unconcered
with strangers walking around. The building is at least
400-years old and you feel the history just in stepping
over the threshhold. Highly recommend all of Paris for
the mind and the senses.

16. I don't iron.
On the extremely rare (as in 3-4 times annually) occaision that I must wear something that needs to be ironed, I just take it to the dry cleaners or if I have a theatre job at the time, bribe a wardrobe room person to do it for me.
