OK... not so boring lunch--fire in parking garage
We were eating outside on the patio, and the firetrucks started coming by. By the time the 3rd one rolled by, we decided to get up to see what the trouble was.

Looking out at the garage, there appeared to be atleast 5 cars consumed by fire.

Yes, this garage is one used by the people here on campus. In fact, a colleague of mine thinks her car was parked in the area of the fire.

2. YIKES!
I hope her car wasn't actually involved but....

and please forgive me....

What a way to break up the boredom...it really is true...be careful what you wish for...

(not that you wished for the fire or anything...just that you were wishing the day wasn't so boring)

:hi:

3. Was anyone hurt? That's really scary.
I was sitting in a local restaurant when a mini van pulled into the parking lot, a woman jumped out and began pulling stuff out of the van, smoke started pouring out and then the whole thing caught on fire and the windows exploded. The fire station was just a 1/4 mile away but the van went up in flames in a heartbeat. The fire truck got there to put out the fire before the car was totally consumed and melted. It was scary how fast the fire progressed. At least the gas tank didn't blow.
