4. You know what?
I'll say Wynton Marsalis because I love his music and he gave the best live concert I ever went to.

Also he crosses the spectrum into classical and he is a real classy dude who has been trying to help with Katrina recovery, yeah.

A great dude!

7. Downbeat reviewer asked Miles to say a few words about modern jazz.
He said, "Louis Armstrong, Charlie Parker." I also vote for Bix although Miles is as important and influential as LA. All the rest are important. I love Clifford Brown and Fats Navarro and I have a soft spot for Hot Lips Page, Dizzy's favorite blues trumpeter.
