I attended the studio taping of the "most admired American" last summer.

Matt Lauer was the host.

2. John Fund...

In 1982, worked for Rowland Evans and Robert Novak as a reporter.

Fund, a conservative journalist, reported on a lot of dirt, including the Monica Lewinsky affair. But he became involved in his own dirt when his girlfriend/fiancee Morgan Francis Pillsbury accused him in 2001-2 with spousal abuse, resulting in his arrest.

According to columnist Cynthia Cotts, Fund's apartment is replete with "dirty dishes, unopened mail, and bottles of alcohol from hotel minibars... the floor covered with piles of black socks and dirty underwear."

3. I hated him before it was cool and I'm probably the reason he shaved it.

During the Salt Lake City Olympics I got real sick and was stuck in my apartment with only a 2 or 3 channels coming in somewhat visibly (my antenna was just the cable wire tied to the blinds). Anyway NBC was one of the channels I could see and I just couldn't take that idiot any longer. I had always hated that idiot and having him doing all this Olympic stuff just drove me crazy. So sicker than a dog and bored out of my mind (and shivering like an idiot with 10 sweaters on with the heat turned all the way up) I started a campaign to get Matt Lauer to shave his head. A friend of a friend had worked in some way on the show and she informed us a few months before that he gets to the studio 3 hours before show time so that they could masterfully spin the hairlets on his head into something that looked like a full head of hair. So I called him on that in every e-mail. I must have sent at least 10 e-mails all titled: We all know you're bald - just shave it off already!!! In every e-mail I just went off on him in every way imaginable calling out every aspect of his pathetic insecurity. My little brother hated him too and even he said the e-mails were too harsh. He was worried that if Matt read them he'd hide his sorry ass from public in embarrassment and we'd never get to see if the e-mails worked. Anyway shortly after, his head was shaved. When I saw it I laughed my ass off. It was a great feeling and I'm sure that while everyone was telling him to do it, my e-mails must have contributed to it.
