My BIL is the biggest fucking mooch I've ever known.

He and my sister own and operate several very successful businesses. They flew into town last week so he could participate in a charity golf tournament sponsored by my wife's company. During their visit:

>He continually raided my bar and humidor and helped himself to another house guest's cigarettes without asking.

>Broke a $150.00 lighter given to me as a gift and tried to blame the guy whose cigarettes he was ripping off.

>Invited his mooch sister and her mooch husband to our house for Sunday brunch without asking us in advance. They ended up camping out in our family room for more than six hours after we fed them.

>Tried to get out of paying his green fees for a practice round on Saturday. He claimed he had forgotten his wallet. When the others in the foursome would not loan him any money, he remembered he had some cash in his golf bag.

>An invitation extended by my sister to a night out on them became "why not just stay in and grill some steaks". Guess whose steaks got grilled.

He and I got into an argument about the lighter following the golf tournament yesterday. As luck would have it, he won three nights stay at a local resort where he and my sister will be the remainder of the time they are in town.

What a fucking mooch!

All kidding aside, it's really hard to deal with people like this because they count on you having more manners than they do. They know no one will call them out on their shit because it makes everyone so uncomfortable.

What does your sister think about this? To invite you out to dinner and then renig is just plain rude.

3. She, unfortunately, is just as bad. When we do go out together,

my sister and BIL will typically disappear when the time comes to pay the bill. They always promise to compensate us for their meal, groceries, booze, etc., but never get around to doing so. I call them on it but my wife wants to keep the peace at any cost and will usually suggest we let it slide.
