Remembering DU Vets and the brothers you lost....
We have been watching the Military Channel today, and they were following several vets who were retracing their steps on the Bataan Death March and vets who were returning to Iwo Jima to remember their fallen brothers. There was no spin. There was only honor and tears as these beautiful souls shared their guilt and tears of having lived when their friends, their brothers in arms did not. Today I just wanted to thank those who fought for whatever reason, and I wanted to remember your friends who didn't make it home with you. We always have threads about thanking our servicemen, but we never really remember and honor those who didn't make it home.

1. Thanks Duckie
I had a relative who never made it home from the Pacific in WWII. I talked with my dad today about a friend of his who was drafted and never made it home. You know what's always struck me about most vets I've met or seen interviewed is their extreme humility when it comes to their service.
