I know that all of DU is horribly flabbergasted by the announcement in the news that Ken Lay and Jeff Skilling of Enron were found guilty of well, just about every white collar crime imaginable and unfortunately these two will be spending their retirement in jail. I know this is tearing at the heartstrings of so many DUers who really thought these two would find justice and be able to finish their golden years living on the meager millions of dollars they pilfered away for retirement. I know you were probably like me when Ken & Linda Lay got on Good Morning AMerica several years ago and cried in angst as they had to sell 1 of their 9 homes in order to be able to survive the post Enron collapse.

So why not use this thread to post your heartfelt words of hope for Ken Lay & Jeff Skilling as they face a future behind bars. Perhaps they'll see these words of inspiration as they try to survive each day living as an imprisoned man.

If it's true that poverty and extreme despair can drive people to a life of crime ... you might be having a reunion with some of your former employees very soon! So remember to look surprised!

Hell they will appeal and stay out of jail. Plus Bush will pardon them in about 2 years. So. They ain't going to stay in long. Plus the white collar prison will be a cake walk for them.
