I have a new job...Assistant to the Dean of Arts and Sciences....

...at Louisiana Delta Community College...just tempin' there again as I'd been there last summer for a month and my last day was the week before Katrina hit...but anyway they called the temp agency and asked for me back specifically...the Dean told me yesterday how much she's appreciated me being there to help her and that she was also extremely impressed by how well we've communicated about what needs to be done...I've been having to put together the entire master syllabus for their website and it's been a challenge to say the least...but also I was told that the Dean doesn't give out too many compliments so that made my week!

.....it's a really difficult thing to walk into another person's job that's been gone a month...so there's NO training involved...just get it done...so far so good though...and everyone has been really helpful too...they remembered how hard I helped out last summmer during fall registration...then I was just the peon operator...this time it's one o'the big dawgs secretary...with quite a higher pay than last time too!! :hi: :donut:
