Need some help re: good tunes from 1979 and 1981

In my latest obsessive/compulsive exercise, I'm attempting to pick my favorite song of each year from 1948 - 1982. I've made a pick for each year except '79 and '81.

If you can think of any great songs from either (or both) of those years, please post them. I don't give a damn if the song was a hit or not, just as long as it sounds good!

The Knack - "My Sharona"
Nick Lowe - "Cruel to be Kind"
The Cars - "Let's Go" and "Candy-O"
Charlie Daniels Band - "Devil Went Down To Georgia"
Pink Floyd - "Comfortably Numb" (and the entire "The Wall" LP)
Van Halen - "Beautiful Girls"

1981:

Psychedelic Furs - "Pretty in Pink"
Squeeze - "Tempted"
The Police - "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic"
Blondie - "Rapture"
Rolling Stones - "Start Me Up"
John Lennon - "(Just Like) Starting Over"
John Lennon - "Watching the Wheels"
Smokey Robinson - "Being With You"
