So...why aren't girls attracted to smart guys?

Seems to be the only angle on this thing we haven't covered yet. ;)

5. I'm just using the already established lingo.

And I'm in college; the line between "girl" and "woman" is a fine one. Some females take being called a "woman" as an insult, seriously, because "women" are old. Students are "girls." Professors are "women." Weird, I know. :eyes:

12. We were all "women" at my college
It took about half of my freshman year to get used to it since we were "girls" at my high school.
We were always referred to as women by all the staff and anything official. I was on the women's track team for example. I was in a sorority where we were recruiting women for our organization.
Even students in general conversation seemed to always refer to us as women and males as men.

Plus you said "were." How long ago was this, if you don't mind me asking? :hi:

I guess that is sort of long ago since pretty much everyone who was an undergrad when I graduated is no longer there.

13. Well, it's a three-step process:
Edited on Sat Apr-08-06 11:54 AM by ZombieNixon
1) Determine the sex of the Lounge.
2) Determine the sexual orientation of the Lounge.
3) Find a nice message board of appropriate sex and orientation and get them tickets to an opera and a room in a nice hotel for a night.

Which raises the question: do message boards have sexes? I asked this about trees once and was surprised to find out that catalpas do indeed have separate male and female entities.

On a raunchier note: what is message board sex like? If they don't use protection, might we have a little message board running around? What is the gestation period for a message board?

Wow, my mind is a weird place. :silly:

And it doesn't matter about the size of their hoo-haas either. They don't come across looking like macho animal survivors. :9

22. I'm attracted to smart guys
Stephen Hawking, Jacque Cousteau (when he was alive), my old astronomy professor, Stephen Danforth. :loveya:

I'm really attracted to scientific nerdy types. But from my end, I don't know how to flirt or be attention getting either. :-(

23. After dating my first serious boyfriend who wasn't smart
He was always trying to point out anything that I wasn't smart about or minimize my intelligence or accomplishments. "You got into National Honor Society, Big F-in' Deal" I couldn't have intellectual conversations with him either.
I made it a point only to date smart guys. Most "desireable" non smart guys weren't attracted to me anyway.

24. YAWN. Another myth.
But intelligence is _far_ from the most important quality. I'd rather date a stupid man who has a handle on love, compassion, sympathetic joy and equanimity, than a genius who's got no clue about _soul_.

Fortunately, my life partner, Call Me Wesley, has both a fine mind _and_ a good soul.

40. 7th damn dude
I probably was like in the middle. My problem is that I only do great in what interests me, read History, some English, Poli Sci, uhh Psychology, social sciences you know but in regards to math and science I suck. The highest I got in math in high school was Geometry. Its funny really to be honest, I had a lot of people think I was "Gifted and TalenteD" but I'm in actuality learning disabled.

42. Depends on the woman.
I've always been attracted to intelligent men.

Guys used to ask me why I was dating "that stupid geek" all the time. I always informed them that I preferred the company of a man that could converse w/ me and teach me something new.

Maybe I'm not the woman to ask. I think a well-placed pocket protector can dramatically increase the sexiness in a man. I :heart geeks.
